Installation Guide
Pavement Power offers a "one stop shop” installation
service but we also encourage self installation by builders and
contractors. Our approach is to make this as easy and straight
forward as possible.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements. In accordance
with our philosophy we aim to ensure that our quote not only
gives you best value but will also be the lowest.
For normal installation the Power Point is bolted to a
galvanized steel ground anchor. This foundation post and all
fixings are provided as part of the standard Power Point
package.
The ground anchor is cast into concrete in a hole approximately
300mm x 300mm x 600mm deep using a “PAV1” concrete or suitable
substitute. The Location Plate is bolted to the Base Unit using
sheer bolts – any adjustments to the orientation of the Power
Point can be made here.
An armoured SWA cable (3 core 6mm²) enters the ground anchor
from ducting below the ground surface. This SWA cable should be
in 35mm flexible ducting within the ground anchor and fed from
100mm ducting running from the main power supply.
Once the Power Point has been tested, the Location Plate should
be covered with PAV1 concrete to ground level or the optional
Base Cover installed.
